Feel the flow of the Classical Pilates mat series.  This instructor led class pays tribute to the traditional work with many contemporary twists.

BREATHE mat class

Breathe & focus on core conditioning and correct alignment & posture with this slower-paced Pilates Mat class.

This class will help you focus on breathing and restoring balance in your body. Modifications will be offered to suit your needs.

This class is suitable for all levels of ability including those with pain/injuries as well as pre and postnatal women and anyone who wants to feel the benefits of breathing and moving.

What Is Pilates?

Developed by Joseph H. Pilates (b.1880 d.1967) Pilates is a system of exercises that engages the body and mind in thoughtful, intelligent movement in order to achieve inner core strength and balance throughout the whole body.

Pilates incorporates breath and movement in a balanced flow of precise exercises designed to align and tone all the muscles throughout the body with particular focus on stabilising the shoulder girdle, the pelvis and strengthening the core abdominal muscles.

Pilates for rehabilitation

Pilates is very effective in the rehabilitation of injuries. The key to healing an injury after diagnosis and treatment by a physician and/or health care practitioner is to regain strength and movement as soon as possible in a stress free environment.

The Pilates equipment provides an ideal stress free environment for the rehabilitation of injuries. It provides support for the body whilst strengthening, mobilising and/or stabilising the injured area. Specific exercises are applied to injuries and pathologies of all kinds.

Here's How To Get Started...

How you start your Pilates journey makes all the difference.

Starting with a solid foundation is the key to success and that is why all of our new clients begin with a 1-on-1 Assessment.

The Assessment takes 50 minutes and throughout the session your instructor will:

  • Talk to you about your health & fitness goals and discuss your history of any injuries, aches, pains or ongoing conditions you may be dealing with or have dealt with in the past.
  • Teach you the fundamentals of Pilates and give you a brief history of the Pilates method.
  • Assess your posture and alignment to identify any imbalances and weaknesses.
  • Advise you which sessions would benefit you most moving forward to help you achieve your goals.

Once you have finished your assessment and have the next best steps from your instructor, we have a range of memberships and packs to get you moving.

All memberships are no lock in contracts

Initial commitment for all memberships is 4 weeks. After initial 4 weeks, membership can be cancelled anytime with 4 weeks notice given in writing to info@stompinggroundstudios.com.au

Payments are by direct debit from your bank account or credit card

Memberships autorenew each month until or unless 4 weeks notice is given in writing to info@stompinggroundstudios.com.au

Memberships can be put on hold in 7 day increments with 7 days notice given in writing to info@stompinggroundstudios.com.au

Memberships can be suspended a maximum of 4 weeks per calendar year.

All memberships will be suspended during our 4 day closure over Easter and our 3 week closure over Christmas/New Year.

Quickpay is the merchant provider for Wellness Living. Dishonour fees will be charged by Quickpay for insufficient funds.

Membership payments are non-refundable.

Unused classes do not carryover into the next payment period, classes must be used within the payment period.
